Green Dog Walkers 

‘Doggie Walk Event’

Join us for a short village circuit ‘walkies’ to create awareness of the need to prevent dog litter in our lovely community with its dog-friendly cafés. Freebies and fun!

When: Saturday 6th June 2026 at 10am 

Meeting point: LIDL Plaza, Castleknock outside Village Vets and Melo

Child and buggy-friendly Route: Castleknock Road to Auburn Avenue, Church Green (full circuit of walking loop), Beechpark Lawn, Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock Road and back to the starting point.

Then maybe grab yourself a coffee in one of our lovely cafés!    

Dog fouling poses a serious health risk on Castleknock’s greens and pavements when not cleaned up properly. After 2 weeks, uncollected dog poop becomes a host for disease such as Salmonella, E-coli and roundworm! Simply sign the pledge to be a responsible dog owner and pick up after your dog.

Castleknock is a dog-friendly village. All cafés have a green water bowl outside.

Every dog is welcome and can bring their owner/s!
