The weather wasn't kind on Saturday but the CTT volunteers were out in force regardless. There was work to be done!
Locations had been marked out during the week. Pallets provided by Fingal County Council were assembled and hey pesto....we had new composting /loam stack bays. Mesh leaf bays were added too and the work will continue during the week ahead. Leaf mold generated from fallen leaves collected in 2021/2 was spread on the flower beds as mulch. Some verging was also completed along Castleknock Road and some bags of leaves were collected. Overall it was a damp but productive morning. At noon, the wet and pretty muddy volunteers returned to Myo's for a much needed cuppa and some of Judie's home baking. What a great project for European Sustainable Goals Week 2023.
