Today’s Harvest – From Leaves to Life
This morning, we harvested 30 bags of rich, home-made compost from some of CTT’s leaf cages — all created in just one year!
We cleared around the base of the trees and the orchard on Auburn Avenue, adding CTT’s composted mulch to enrich the soil.
The apple trees are looking great, and the fruit will be ready for picking in just a few weeks. Everyone is welcome to pick and enjoy Castleknock-grown apples when they’re ripe!
It was a morning of great work, turning last autumn’s green resources into nutrient-rich compost and returning it to the earth — a perfect cycle of recycling and reuse.
And we had the help of Jimmy Maguire, a local Painter who generously offered his services to CTT and was busy painting around the village today.
Thank you to everyone!
