Volunteers made a big difference to Castleknock at the Saturday Clean Green Ups!

Saturday 25th: Overgrowth cleared in four different areas. Old Navan Rd, Auburn Ave Green, Castleknock Road, Beechpark Ave.

Saturday 1st August: We weeded cleared mulched watered Park Ave entrance orchard and flower bed and the pollinator bed outside silver spoon. We watered the plants at the back of Myos, Auburn Avenue orchard, the rose trees at the Phoenix Park gate and yesterday watered Park Drive orchard.

Saturday 8th August: Weeded two pollinator beds on College Road and cobble lock cleaning and weeding at the pump and in the village.

A big welcome to 3 new volunteers

Saturday 15th August: The orchard and surrounding trees on Auburn Avenue green. were cleared of grass, received much needed water and mulched with CTT's home made mulch.

It's great that last autumn's leaf collection is still providing nutrient filled mulch. The pollinator bed was also watered and mulched.

Saturday 22nd August: We had about 15 volunteers out who removed dead plants and nourished the soil with new soil and CTT made mulch.

The area at the entrance at the tennis club is looking a lot better.

We transferred stones and laid the stones, kindly given by a neighbour to improve a small path to the polytunnel.
