Hot, hot, hot! Saturday's Clean Up was a warm affair with 25 volunteers working on Auburn Avenue (in the shade, wherever possible). Glorious weather prevailed and the sky was a deep blue. This work negates the need for any pesticide use by the council to keep verges under control and paths clear. Great to see new volunteers joining all the time! Well done to everyone who took part. And thanks again for the home baking.
Thanks again to those who continued to water the plants and trees around the village this week. Even the largest of our water butts were running low. Thankful for the downpours more recently.
