The months of October and November (at least until last night's frost) were unusually warm, with lots of heavy rain too. As a result, the strangest mushrooms and other fungi have been springing up in the oddest of places in gardens and streets. Always be careful around these as they can be toxic. Never pick (and eat) wild mushrooms unless you are with someone who can correctly identify the various varieties. They do look amazing, don't they?
