On Saturday 1st Oct, CTT moved to a monthly schedule of Clean Ups for the winter season. The team concentrated on the heart of the village - Castleknock Road and College Road. As a small pay back for Myo's kindness to CTT all year, the pollinator flowerbed in the car park was refreshed, brambles were trimmed back and the bed was mulched. Seasonal flowers and plants were arranged in the hanging baskets (Myo's did pay for the plants!).
Thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their Saturday mornings so willingly during the summer months, to those who provided the home baking and to Myo's who laid on the refreshments each week. It all added to the enjoyment of volunteering and a real sense of belonging to the village.
From Oct to March each year Clean Ups take place on the first Saturday of the month (except in January). Then come April it'll be back to weekly Clean Ups once more until the end of September.
