Following CTT's coffee morning on 25th May people have enquired about who Trad 15 are and where people can enjoy hearing the Trad 15 musicians and singers again. So here's some info about this talented group:
The musicians and singers are mainly from Dublin 15 / Dunboyne / Leixlip/ Lucan area and beyond (Santry, Swords, Lucan, Terenure). Jim Jackman organises the group to play in various locations. The group plays in the Wren's Nest pub every Tuesday night from 8:30pm. And all are welcome to come and enjoy the music there.
Jim Jackman says "Una, the owner of the Wren's Nest, and her staff are beyond friendly and help to make each night a wonderful occasion. Our main focus is Trad but all types of music are catered for. We regularly play for the residents of St Mary's Phoenix Park, Mountsackville Nursing Home, Marymount NH, Holy Angel's Knockmaroon, St. Louis Rathmines NH. We have a strong connection with Shlí Dhála, the local Comhaltas branch. Musicians in our group come from Castleknock Lawn Tennis Club, the Family Group, St Brigid's etc."
For sure, the coffee morning attendees really enjoyed the music and the happy atmosphere created by Trad 15. Many thanks to the group for giving their time so freely to help raise funds for CTT's work.
