Replaced Heritage Lamps
Following representations from CTT to FCC to repair a top section on one of the four village lanterns, a decision was taken to replace the lantern heads altogether. It was not possible to repair the damaged lantern, which was one of four decorative copies of the Phoenix Park gas lights. The newly installed square Victorian period energy-saving LED luminaires were specially chosen for this location, which required a traditional style. The LED luminaires are far more energy efficient than bulbs and provide more uniform light. The lamps look very smart, require no maintenance and the design really sets off the area from dusk. Thank you Fingal County Council for finding us this appropriate lighting solution.
