Castleknock TidyTowns in conjunction with Fingal County Council will host the official lighting up of the Christmas tree in Castleknock village on Friday 1st December, from 7pm. To ensure everyone’s safety and to mitigate against any inclement weather, the event will begin inside St Brigid’s Church initially. Mayor of Fingal Cllr. Adrian Henchey will officially turn on the lights. Afterwards, everyone is welcome to a warming cuppa and refreshments in the church.
PLEASE NOTE: On Friday 1st Dec, the parking spaces immediately in front of the church gates will be cordoned off all day. The pedestrian gates will remain open all day but the large graveyard gates (for cars) will be closed from 3pm. The graveyard will be cordoned off for the evening and will not be accessible while this event is taking place. For public safety reasons, only disabled parking will be available within the church grounds on the evening of Friday 1st Dec for this event.
