Partnered Clean Up - Sat 22 Apr '23

For Earth Day 2023 CTT volunteers joined forces with volunteers from Blanchardstown TidyTowns, Laurel Lodge Environmental Group and Royal Canal Clean Up Group to make up a 'force to be reckoned with'. There were volunteers picking rubbish along every hedge, ditch and path. Over 40 full bags of litter were collected from the bank of the Royal Canal, along Dunsink Lane, River Road and the Tolka River path. Everything from tin cans and bottles to car reg plates! The place was much improved as we finished up. Lovely to notice lots of wild cowslips growing on the land across from the Travel Lodge hotel too.

This was a special event as part of the Dublin Community Clean Up and An Taisce's National Spring Clean Month initiatives. It was terrific to mix our volunteer groups and achieve something really significant together. Afterwards, it was back to Myo's for some welcome refreshments and home baking. Thanks to everyone who took part and made this big Clean Up possible. And thanks FCC for collecting the bags afterwards!
