Official Lighting Up 2023

On Friday 1st Dec a crowd of over 400 turned out for the switching on of the Christmas tree lights in Castleknock village. This community event was organised by Castleknock TidyTowns and Fingal County Council and hosted in St Brigid's Church. A packed out crowd enjoyed seasonal organ music from Philip Good followed by a fabulous performance by St Brigid's National School Choir, led by Ms Williams. Rev. Colin McConaghie and Fr Damian McNeice led the prayers. After the official switching on by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Adrian Henchy, it was back inside for a warming cuppa. Many thanks to the CTT volunteers, Parish of Castleknock and Mulhuddart with Clonsilla, Fingal County Council Operations department and the St Brigid's National School senior choir. Another very enjoyable night to remember!
