The official handover of the Deer Sculpture to the guardianship of Fingal County Council (for the People of Castleknock) took place recently. A safely distanced mix of FCC representatives and Castleknock Tidy Towners showed up for the event. Fingal County Councillor John Walsh officiated at the event. The day belonged to Brian Arkins for his most generous donation to Castleknock.
Fingal County Councillor John Walsh officially thanks Brian Arkins for the wonderful gift. Brian Arkins responded and said that he gave this gift as "a gesture to the CTT volunteers who turn out in all weathers to work around the village every week". He got a big round of applause.
Evelyn Pender, Chairperson of CTT said a few words of thanks to Brian. "...What a beautiful gift for Castleknock!"
