Last night four winning Fingal Climate Action Hero teams were recognised for their climate action by FCC Community Office at a reception held in County Hall, Swords. In the recent national challenge Fingal did particularly well having the top four placed teams of which CTT volunteers were second.
The Ukrainian Volunteers of Ireland were the outright winners, followed closely behind by:
2nd place - Castleknock Tidy Towns
3rd place - Myrtle The Coast Residents
4th place - Prosper Fingal
The awards were presented by newly elected Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Adrian Henchy. Evelyn Pender was delighted to receive the award on behalf of Team CTT (wooden awards especially designed by the Rediscovery Centre). A team of six took part in the challenge on behalf of CTT (Evelyn, Margaret, Patricia and Siún plus James and Fiona who also took part but were unable to attend the event).
