Despite a late night together on Friday, almost 20 CTT volunteers showed their mettle on Saturday to brave initial sub-zero temperatures to
maintain the tree straps on Church green
set hundreds of spring bulbs
weed the pollinator bed at the memorial garden
weed under some pedestrian barriers
and gather even more leaves for the leaf bays.
As the morning progressed, the winter sun shone and things got slightly warmer. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped out, especially those who recently joined the team! A warming cuppa and a welcoming fireplace back at Myo's thawed out the bones afterwards.
Apologies for not having taken more photos. That was the final team Clean Up for 2023. Roll on 2024 when we have lots more to do!
