About Us

An environmental, sustainability and climate action group.

We are a voluntary group of individuals, who each donate time and energy to work on environmental projects and community clean ups around Castleknock village.

After a gap of 18 years, in 2019 Castleknock TidyTowns reformed to make Castleknock a better place for everyone to live, attend school, work, rest, play and enjoy.

Castleknock received the award of  'BEST PRESENTED VILLAGE' at Fingal County Council's Greener Community Awards 2019. Our entry into the 2022 National TidyTowns competition gained us an additional 17 marks, bringing our score to 265.

Once again we improved our score by 17 marks in the 2023 competition, so our total now stands at 282.

We are inviting you to come forward and join us when you can, to help out around the village. Or if working outdoors is not for you, you might like to volunteer for one of our sub-committees.

Our weekly Saturday Clean Ups are held from April to the end of Sept each year (10am to 12 noon) - we meet in Myo's car park at 10am each week and head back to Myo's afterwards for refreshments at 12 noon.
